MARK NAIK SPORT ACADEMY

BACKGROUND

The Academy is directly affiliated with the Easterns Gauteng Sports Board, and operates as a separate entity.

The Academy aims to transform the face of cricket, soccer and netball and physical education in Secondary, Primary and Pre-Primary Schools.

PURPOSE:

The Academy aims to:

Develop social skills
Build confidence and self-esteem
Foster discipline
Give the players a sense of belonging
Enhance gross motor and cognitive skills
Achieve physical fitness through exercise
Guide the players toward a sense of self-fulfilment

SERVICE:

The Academy will provide the following to the school:

Training and coaching by experienced coaches
Individual attention
Nutritional and eating plans
Wellness clinics
Training Manuals
Visual aid – this the use of video recording during training
At the end of every term a sports report will be handed to the scholars. This will give parents an indication of the fitness and sports progress made throughout the year.
Also sponsor the school posters and signs.

EXPERIENCED COACHES

All the coaches in the Academy:

We are affiliated with the Easterns Junior Club Cricket and Soccer Association (“Easterns”);
hold level 1 and 2 coaching certificates, approved by the United Cricket Board of South Africa (UCB); and
are currently active in premier league and provincial cricket.
